The room was clean and spacious, perfect for our needs. We had the Efficiency Queen Room with Two Queen Beds, which worked well for our group. The decor felt modern yet cozy, making it a pleasant spot to relax after a day out. It wasn’t noisy at all, despite being near the road. Overall, a comfortable place to sleep with good amenities.

We had a cozy three-night stay where my favorite part was definitely the heated outdoor pool—the kids loved it! Also, the breakfast options were quite satisfying with a great waffle maker. One thing to note is that while it looks appealing in photos, it has more of a motel vibe. Despite some minor quirks, I'd definitely return.

Our family had a decent stay for one night while visiting local attractions. The outdoor areas were really nice for relaxing, and we enjoyed the breakfast options available. It’s in a convenient location with easy access to nearby stores and restaurants, which made our trip enjoyable. However, the bathroom was quite small and the room felt a bit outdated, which could use some upgrades.

Great Stay with Comfortable Rooms!
I had a wonderful stay here! The staff were incredibly welcoming, especially Adele, who provided helpful local tips. The coffee maker in the room added a nice touch. Pro tip, request a room on the first floor if you have heavy luggage, as the stairs can be tricky.

During my recent stay, I found the accommodations at this Ascend Hotel to be well-maintained and clean. The room was equipped with a microwave and refrigerator, which was convenient for my work needs. I appreciated the complimentary breakfast, featuring a variety of options that helped kickstart my day. The staff provided excellent service, promptly assisting with any requests, making the stay comfortable and efficient.
The location was a bit farther from the downtown area than I would prefer.

The staff exuded warmth and friendliness, enhancing the overall welcoming atmosphere. A highlight was the enjoyable breakfast, offering grilled Teppanyaki fish, though the dining area felt a bit cramped. However, the room showed signs of wear. the heating unit had issues, and the bathroom faucet was mismatched, leading to confusion. Furthermore, the lack of daily housekeeping wasn't communicated clearly upon check-in, which detracted from the overall experience.

I had a nice stay. The outdoor area by the pool was enjoyable for relaxing. Breakfast offered a variety of options, and it was a good way to start the day. I appreciated the friendly staff who made my visit pleasant. Walking to the nearby attractions was easy, and it felt safe. Being from Italy, I enjoyed the Americana vibe throughout the area.
The room felt outdated and could use some updates. There was some noise from the nearby road that occasionally disrupted the stay.

The air conditioning barely worked and it was summer heat, we were sweating bullets. The fridge in the closet made weird sounds that kept us awake, an absolute nightmare.
I paid a hefty price for a room that felt cramped and poorly maintained.

The kitchen was a real plus during our stay, especially since the fridge helped us keep drinks cold. I loved lounging by the heated pool and sipping coffee all day, which added to the relaxation vibes. Only downside was that the bathroom was quite snug, but it didn’t take away from the great experience. 😊

I checked in to the Efficiency King Room, and the staff welcomed me warmly right away. The room felt comfortable with clean linens, although I noticed a strong chemical odor at first. I had to air out the room a bit. The AC unit worked well, keeping things cool, but was a tad noisy. The breakfast offered a decent variety. I especially enjoyed the waffles and hard-boiled eggs. However, the breakfast area was quite small, leading to limited seating. The location was a bit noisy, especially with traffic sounds and sirens. The parking situation seemed convenient but could get tight during busy times. Overall, my experience was pleasant, but cleanliness and noise could see improvement.

It was just a nice choice for a fleeting pause in Portsmouth with exceptional value. The room was clean, even if the property felt a bit old. Double-check that your room type matches before arrival.

Great stay with dog-friendly vibe
Checked in for 2 nights with my fam and 2 pups. Room was clean and spacious plus the staff was super chill. Loved the outdoor space for the dogs, a refreshing change! Breakfast was a win too, so many choices. Only bummer was the lack of seating in the room for all of us. Otherwise, easy access to downtown!
